I know how you feel. You have just lost a loved one and you’re searching for eulogy examples. I am not going to waste your time, and here’s the one I made for my mother who passed away a year ago.
Below is the eulogy I wrote for my mother.
If anyone in the world deserves a halo and a pair of snow white wings, it would be my mother. She was the best person I have ever known. She was one of three children who have never known their father, but this did not stop her from loving her mother and her siblings. If you could sum up one word to describe her, it would the word “love.” She may have been tiny, but her five feet frame belies her unending capacity to love. It is because of this that she is the most beautiful person in the world.
My mother was concerned with beauty in all aspects. Being a seamstress, she created the most exquisite bridal gowns. I know a lot of you have worn her creations, and you have seen firsthand how she can transform a roll of satin cloth into the wedding gown of your dreams. She loved to surround herself with beauty. She also strived to stay beautiful inside and out. I remember on my wedding day, she told me, “Always look your best for your husband, honey.” I remember her telling me about her beauty regimen. She taught me how to put on makeup. She taught me how to wear clothes so that I’ll always look my best. She told me how even after a harrowing day taking care of her six rambunctious children, she would take a few minutes to look her best before her husband comes home from work. That’s my mom, always beautiful.
Now that she’s gone, we’ll always remember the way she has given of herself for us, how she made our lives beautiful.
My mom passed away on a spring day, after battling with breast cancer for two years. The experience was devastating. On top of the grief that I felt, I also have to arrange for the funeral. I couldn’t let my father do this. He was consumed with grief. The rest of my brothers and sisters were too far away, so I alone was responsible arranging that she had the funeral that she truly deserves. On my shoulders, too, rested the eulogy speech. It frustrated me that the eulogy examples I found fell short of describing this remarkable woman who was my mother.
Eulogies are one of our best tributes to a loved one who has passed away. How then can I express in words how wonderful my mother was? The examples of eulogies I read and researched were inadequate. Funeral poems were too impersonal and formal. My mother would laugh if I began reciting a eulogy example taken from a book. “How ordinary!” she would say. I could not find an example of eulogy speech that befits her entire life.
I’ve found a lot of advice about how to write a eulogy, but eulogy writing is so personal, a person’s life so unique that each funeral eulogy must come from the heart. And this is one of the best advices I got from this site I found in the Internet. The website does give eulogy examples. It even gives a template where you can just fill in the blanks.

This is for when you don’t have the luxury of time to make one. But after reading this site, I promise you that you will not even feel the need to use the eulogy template. The website was like a friend to me in my toughest time, reaching out a hand when I needed someone to hold onto. I hope my blog also does the same to you.
